How to Apply to the LCC
It is strongly urged that students applying for admission from outside the United States submit their application documents to the Language and Culture Center office no later than 6 weeks prior to the start of the term. This will allow sufficient time for the Language and Culture Center to prepare and mail the I-20 form, and for the student to apply for the F-1 student visa at the United States consulate or embassy in his or her country.

Fill out an application form completely, attach a passport-size photograph, a copy of your high school or university diploma (or equivalent), financial support documents and the nonrefundable $100 application fee made payable to the University of Houston. Payment must be made by draft, money order, certified check, travelers check or by a check drawn on a U.S. bank. Please do not send cash. Applications not accompanied by the application fee or letter of financial support will be returned to the applicant.
3. Apply in Person
Applicants who are already in the Houston area may go in person to room 116 Roy Cullen Building on the University of Houston campus for further information or to fill out application forms.

There are no charges for this service (there is, however, an application fee for processing completed applications). We reserve the right to limit the quantity of applications sent by mail.
